Well, blog pals. Ya know it's gettin' pretty desperate here when I start channeling Johnny Cash. Nevertheless, it is accurate. It has been gloomy, dreary, rainy, chilly and miserable here in Cow Snot for the last three or four weeks. While I do admit that the moisture is good for the ranchers and farmers, it is reeking havoc on us arthritics and depressives. The people here at Shady Pines who knit and crochet are beginning to fashion nooses. As I write this missive it is 8:30 am MDT and there is pea soup fog outside. I look for Jack The Ripper to come skulking about. We are scheduled to have a Memorial Day cookout on Saturday. Hopefully the wind will die down by then.

Niece Jethrene's wedding went off without a hitch. She was so beautiful in her gown. The kids were adorable in the dresses and tuxes, and the cake was delish. We actually got my brother Bubba into a tux using the argument that this was his last baby getting married and so on.

Had to take the Redneckmobile into the shop with cluch problems. Fortunately, it was a cylander of some kind and the whole clutch did not have to be repalced. Total cost: around $400 which is not too bad as far as car repairs go. Of course that's $400 that yours truly cannot spend on DVDs, Kindle books, and and various killer snacks.

On the health front, I have dropped about 20 lbs. in the last 3 months and my A1C blood sugar is down from 7.4 to 7.1. I thought I should get serious about the diabetes after I considered that I could loose a limb and/or my sight if it went unchecked. Oh, I still eat crap, but I've just cut back on how often, the portion size, etc. It seems to be working.
