Even when one's "faith" evolves into some other one, or none, the Christmas traditions are full of good memories and it's hard to give them up. For one reason or another having to do with marrying men uninterested in these particular traditions and atheism and such, I haven't had a tree since I left Chicago in 1956. Yeah, I kinda miss it, but I'm not brooding about it.
My cats, of course, are Zen Buddhists. I am not religious, unless someone is shooting at me.
Love the smell of a real tree. Unfortunately all our allergies dictate artificial ones. I bet the cats are overwhelmed by the decorations.
Looks great there jon.
That's a beautiful tree, and I'll bet it smells good. Looks like it got everyone's attention.
Nice tree. In the first photo, the tree stand looks like a giant tuna can. I thought it had religious significance for the cats, as it was between the Buddhas.
