Many hikers challenge this.
Not sure if I told you.
But lost a lot of photos in my camera.
For some reason the memory card got jolted and slip off
the track somewhere in my trip.
Did not get any memory warning till much later.
After taking so many photos and lost them.
Miguel says,let me look at the camera.
He did and found that the memory card was off.
He push in back in place.
I lost all of my pictures going to the Lake Attitlan.
One of the famous in the world.
There we went to a couple of the villages.
San Pedro was the first.Had a guide to take up all over.
While doing this,taking pictures that later realized that
not to be had.We also had lunch there.
Black beans,chicken,tortillas etc.
The luncheon was great.
From there we took the boat to visit the other island.
Santiago one of the best here.
In order to get to island and island there are a slew of
boats to get there.I took so many pictures of the boats
not to be had.Boo Hoo.
Then the afternoon rain came and we all ran for cover.
Rained very hard and most of the afternoon.
Time for us to leave and this trip was cut short.
Went we got to Panjahel to meet our bus,Mike and I were
soaked.
We had three hrs. to get back to Miguel.
There were some mudslide and rocks tumbling.
Most of this on the highway and we had to juggle it around.
By the time we near home,the rain let up.
Rainy season is from May till Oct.
The rest of the week was fine.Hot and then brief showers
now and then.
It was fun and different.
We did had an umbrella,but we moved faster without it.LOL
That is the fun of the trip.As I was walking along and
making sounds like a duck,the native were laughing.
Now how sweet is that.They were quacking along with us.
LOL.
A memory day for us.
