Congrats are in order for one of Hollywood's legendary stars.
Dick Van Dyke, 86, married his makeup artist, Arlene Silver, 40, on Leap Day, reports RumorFix. "We're looking forward to a long and happy marriage," says the Mary Poppins star, grinning from ear to ear.
Van Dyke tells RumorFix in an interview that he met Silver six years ago at the SAG awards. "I was in the green room and she passed through and I was bowled over by her beauty." He then hired her to be his makeup artist and the romance blossomed.
The marriage, he says, on Feb. 29, was "Kinda on the spur of the moment, we just decided Leap Day would be the best time to do it."
Van Dyke, whose marriage to Margie Willett lasted from 1948 to 1984 and produced four children, says, "I'm not a loner. I have to have a life partner. I found the perfect one."
