Buffy Surgery

A week ago on Monday Buffy went under the knife.
He had a couple of growth in the anus area.
Had this for awhile and they finally said time to get it removed as he was picking on it and making it bleed.
Plus he had a small tumor on the ear flap.
He was a mess for a week.
Anthesia took a toll out of him.
He was out of focus and messing all over the house with diarrhea.
Kept us awake all night for he had to go out just about every hour on the hour and finally caught up with us.
Call the vet to tell him what is going on as he said bring him in.
They kept him overnight and change the med.
He is slowly getting back to himself.
All of the growth were not cancerous.
I thought at one time that he was going to leave us as he was unable to focus.
Anthesia is very hard on animals as some of them do not wake up after this.
Buffy is 13 yrs and in good health.
Today was the first time that he is back to him self .
We finally got a good night sleep last night.
He was great.
Still on the med and special diet.
Monday the stitches comes out.
This is one of the reason that have not been posting.
Took a lot out of us and glad that he is with us again.
As for us we are doing good and enjoying life.
Sorry, that I was away too long.
Take care and Happy Tuesday.

By now, I'm sure Buffy is his old self again! I guess we both took "time off" from posting.

Very happy to know he is doing better and that surgery was a success and there was no cancer. Yeah!

Glad he came through it. It is so hard on us when our animals are sick. Give him a hug and kiss from me.

Wow! That sounds like a rough time! Did he have to wear a cone? Benny had surgery in January, he's also 13, but he did better than Buffy did. Antibiotics for a week and the cone, but he handled it all very well! Sounds like the worst is over for you. Enjoy another good nights' sleep!

No he did not have to use a cone.He is much better today and the healing is doing well.
He amazed me at his age.Which is good and now he is eating and cannot eat enough.

I am glad he is h ome and in your tender care. Rex is due for a teeth
cleaning soon and I dread the anasthesia for him. I need to make his
appointment tomorrow.

Today was a good day and he felt like walking on the sidewalk. This is good.He amaze me at times.Glad that he is on his way to recovery.

Poor, Buffy. Jolie gets growths and it is pretty tough. A lot of them, they are able to drain with a syringe, which helps. She also has a lot of trovel recovering from the anesthesia. When we have had to pick her up after a surgery, she is not even really able to stand most of the time, which is really disconsrting.

I am glad he is on a quick road to recovery!

so am I.I am not a fan of anesthesia thats for sure.Nice to see you here

Hurray for Buffy!!!!

"Anesthesia is very hard on animals as some of them do not wake up after this." Not only animals--mainly old people have very bad effects from being under--that's what happened to my ear drum and throat from my last operation.

Oh!Martin did not know this. That is interesting to hear.Yes,he is doing better.

I am glad Buffy is doing better now. It's always so scary when they have issues.
