This is my small collection of turquoise ring.
The one in my middle finger is the one that I bought in Santa Fe.
This was the last day of my trip .
It is a vintage ring in the forties.
Pay a good price but worth it to me.
The woman was very nice and gave me an discount and a polishing cloth.
I know this is a sales pitch.
Liked the ring.
Motto: If you liked it then buy it.I loved it.LOL
One thing that I need to explain as most of the pictures you see me in my blue hoodie.
This is the only outer garment that I brought and did not have any changes.
Maybe one my L L Bean sweatshirt.
In my travel I have cut back a lot of taking clothing.
It works for m.
Here it is Saturday and waiting for Hurricane or Tropical Sandy to hit us.
We are prepared.
Our generator is waiting.
Have not used it yet.
Still brand new.
Though we had a bit of a problem here.
When we had the earthquake a while back and did some minor problems.
We just juice in one of the line and the generator was not working.
Not sure if any of you heard about this?
I was working on my computer and heard a rumble underneath me.
Jumped out and Mike came running in did you feel that ?
Yes,not sure what it was as sounded like a subway train below us.
My two neighbors came over to see if we were okay and had drink in their hands.
Wished that I had taken a photo. It was sort of funny.
What are you guys doing here?well if it get worse we thought that we are go down together. How cool is that?
Little did we know that this earthquake causing this problem and our first.
On the scale believe that it was 4.6.
Six feet under whoa!
We got the juice back on and the generator going.
All set for Sandy.
They tell us a lot of rain and wind so far.
Moved our cars around to the other side.
We have three huge Maples .
Normally park our car under that.
Wish us luck.
Have a great weekend and stay dry.

Your rings are beautiful! I like turquoise too. We have not heard from you since Hurricane Sandy and I hope you are ok. BTW: I caught up on all of your posts too.

When was the earthquake? I am very glad you have neighbors who check in on you in times of trouble. That is priceless! STAY SAFE!!

You and all our mybloggers friends have made provisions for the storm. I know
you will be OK but that doesn't stop me from worrying about you.

We are all set and the generator is going.Plenty of food and water etc.
Hope that this will be mild.

You're smart to travel light and collect something small! I like your rings!

When we were in Santa Fe we met some of the Indian Artist and were invited to
Taos for a visit. I am sorry we didn't have time to go but they wrote to us
for a while and when we go back, I want to visit them. Their daughter had
a gorgeous piece in the museum.

This is one place that I wanted to go and could not find a ride there.
No bus etc.Mike does not like to rent a car.He does not trust himself.

"Rings on his fingers and bells on his toes, there shall be music wherever he goes!" Remember that one? I heard about the EQ and wondered if you felt it! I saw what Irene did last year and worry about you guys with Sandy. Ironic name, what with all the sand damage it will cause on the beaches. Hang in there!!

yes,we did felt it.I was on my computer and heard a rumble underneath me as Mike came running in asking me if I felt this. Then a couple of neighbor stop by the house to check on us.The old folks.LOL.
We had a couple of minor disturbance.
The generator and some juice lost in our line in the house. This was caused by this.
We got both of the items fixed as we wait for Sandy to make her debut here

You'd love the jewelry being sold at the Navajo Monument Valley Park. Their gimmick is to put signs out saying 40% off everything. I suppose that's after marking it up 60%.

Well I give credit to the Indian at Santa Fe.They were honest and even ask them for a discount as they say will give if you pay cash. Not all of them. Most of them were pretty honest.Did not noticed any hustler there or even begging.

Are you a bit or a piece????
comment by greatmartin on Oct 27, 2012 1:41 PM ()
