You've really hit a soft spot with me too! People treat them like posessions sometimes and I just don't understand it. I got two of my dogs from people who "couldn't keep them" and a cat because "her boyfriend didn't like cats". I mean give me a freaking break! My son has asthma and allergies but I just clean super well. Here's a radical example. I once knew someone who sold their cockateil (who talked to them and everything) at a garage sale!!!!
