Howdy folks! Yep, I am still alive and kicking! Things have just been kind of boring here lately, which is a good thing.
Let's see, I found an actual babysitter for Kota! I did not want to send him back to the boys and girls club as A. its expensive. It's only $50 a week but when you are only sending him 2 days a week its crazy. B. they have a gazillion kids there who scream at the top of thier lungs and run around like crazy kids.
Anyway, I was talking to John one day at lunch, explaining the situation. Turns out his sister babysits kids, she is 28 years old. So he sent me to his mom to discuss it. Ok, his mom totally rocks! She has taken to picking on me as badly as her son's do! lol She told me that her daughter could definitely watch kota and work with my schedule. And that their fee is based on what a person can afford! Plus with me being a family friend I get an extra discount! So she gave me her phone number so we can set something up, I would like to have Kota meet her daughter and maybe the kids she watches. Just to put him at easy, although he is thrilled about going to the boys/girls club. As am I.
I have been writing lately. I used to write all the time, short stories, poetry, things like that. Last night it was like a lightning bolt hit me and I got this great idea. So I started writing. Two pages later I had to take a break. I was writing on paper as hubby was on the computer. Its kind of a fantasy type story with good and evil connotations! I am basically just writing for my own enjoyment. I have no thoughts of publishing or any of that.
I finally saw Twilight! What a fantastic movie!!!! And I am not even a teen! To me it is such a profound love story.
I made yet another new friend at work today. We had fun giggling all day. Especially when these teen boys came through my line and the one had his pants hanging off his butt. She told me she so wanted to come over and pull his pants up. I told her I would much rather see a man in a nice fitting pair of jeans so I can tell if he has a nice butt. She about fell over laughing.
Well its time to figure out what to make for dinner. I am off tomorrow! I plan on sleeping in as Kota is off also. Sleeping in will be about 7:30 if I am lucky. lol Kota does not like to be down stairs by himself for very long. He swears there are ghosts here though I have seen no evidence of it.
All in all, I am doing well still. We are talking about getting a 'new' car later this year. New to us anyway. I pulled up a pic to show hubby what I wanted. Dodge Charger, Daytona version. heheheh Its about $50,000! Thats just a dream obviously. I will settle for something newer than what I have, good on gas and it must be cute. Oh and a stick shift!!!!
