Well yesterday I got the news I am going to be a grandmother! My stepson and his fiance are expecting a little bundle of joy. She took an at home test so she still needs to get to the doc for official results. She thinks she is 3 months along, but not sure on that. So it could be either a November baby, my birth month, or possible February, Kota's birth month. Yep Kota will be an uncle at the ripe old age of 9.
So I was tossing around names for myself. Grandma is too boring. MeeMaw is what kota calls his grandma. MomMom is his other grandma on hubby's side. So how about Grammy?? I like it! Although I think I am still in shock about this whole situation. Wondering how on earth they will raise a child. But I guess you learn as you go. I am excited but also have mixed feelings, which I have let them know about. They already have a wedding date for August so that's no big deal. I am just thinking they both really needed to grow up before having a kid of their own. Why rush into parenthood? Take a few years to be carefree and go where you want when you want. Cuz we all know when the kids arrive you have no life. LOL
My stepson is super excited about being a Dad. Stormy is just glowing with happiness. I just hope they have their own place before the baby arrives. Although this is a big house, having a baby here would drastically change things. Besides they need to have their own place so they don't have people interfering all the time. Let them learn on their own. I guess I got my wish, I get to be a Grandma at a young age.
We are having some serious thunderstorms here today! So loud and the lightning is super bright. Almost blinds you when you are driving. But it's going to be a beautiful weekend after tonight. Kota has a barbecue to go to tomorrow at his babysitter's house. I swear they would adopt him if they could! I am so lucky to have such good friends in my life and in Kota's. Tonight Katie said again that me and hubby need to have a date night and she will watch Kota for us. So my next free night that hubby isn't on call I think we will take her up on that! Hubby is working the nascar race again this weekend. I hate it, I hardly will see him until monday night. But he loves it so much and really has a good time working there.
Ok, enough for now. Jondude wants everyone to update more, so I will try and do my part.
