A few years ago I went, and they took my blood pressure, and she starts asking all these questions. Have you been feeling dizzy...ummm no....Have you been having headache...ummmm no....has you vision been blury....ummmm no. Well she leaves the room and comes back in and says. "Here take these two little white pills, and lay back and think happy toughts"............WTF? Now tell me how that is going to make you feel calm? That was how I got the news that my blood pressure was high.
So back to last Thursday. My blood sugar numbers have been high...I knew that going in. I knew she was not going to be happy with me. I knew I would get a lecture. I've been trying but my numbers have always been higher than she would like. So she suggest Byetta..it has lizard spit in it. Don't believe me... Here is info on the medical site:
Byetta's active ingredient is a protein, exenatide, that encourages digestion and the production of insulin. The fact that exenatide was initially discovered in the saliva of the Gila monster, a poisonous lizard found in the Southwest, explains the nicknames Lizzy and Gilly for Byetta — if not the pronunciation.'
How about that I've got Lizard spit in me now.

I also got some eye drops because somehow I have managed to get an infection in my eye. I thought it was a stye, but It managed to hang on over a month, and Doc thinks I somehow cut my right eye and it got infected. So I'm taking antibotic drops 2 drops..4 times a day. It makes me a little loopy...My face gets flushed....and I feel a little loopy...so it's been a fun weekend.
Just having fun here, lizard spit and all.
If I start hunting for flies I'm not gonna be happy....
*grins*
Seriously, going to the doctor is never fun, no matter what the reason. But, I'm glad you're a person who goes anyway...it's best to be safe than sorry and check-ups are good to have. I sure do hope you're feeling better. I know you have to work on that sugar which, hopefully, will improve, and I hope that eye infection has cleared up by now, too.
