Ted and I watched I'll Be Me, the documentary about Glen
Campbell's descent into Alzheimer's disease. It was
interesting and informative but Ted said he would not
watch it again because it depressed him to know what his
future contained. Glen Campbell was placed in a nursing
facility shortly after the documentary was made.
I see Ted becoming withdrawn and needing long explanations
for every day happenings. His only chore is supervising
the robotic vac and he often docks it without cleaning it.
He is cold all the time, paranoid and stubborn. I am not
complaining, just noting his symptoms.
I am also very grateful that I am physically able to do
what needs to be done around the house and in the yard.
I am so mindful of the old saying about use it or lose it.
Ted sleeps so much of the day, going back to bed just after
breakfast, getting up briefly for lunch and resting until
four or five in the afternoon.
On a happier note, Laura presents her fashion collection
at Oklahoma State University on Friday evening. We are
meeting Linda and Sara in Stillwater and attending
together. We will all spend the night. Laura has been
sewing frantically and will probably have 6 garments
to present.
That also happens to be Adrienne's birthday so we have
scheduled her birthday dinner for Thursday night.
The both graduate this spring so it is a landmark for
both of them. I am so proud of them.
