I am not taking any more on because we are totally worn out.
Our last one was installing crown molding in the guest bath and it didn't turn out as well as it might have due to Ted's excessive use of plastic wood.

Today, we are taking a round coffee table,cut down from one of the old claw footed dining tables to the antique shop to let them sell it on consignment. Also a sewing cabinet from the l920s. I love the old table but our house isn't big enough since I want to put all the exersize equipment
in the office.

My friend, June came to see us and to spend the night. She is a remarkable woman and it was fun talking over old times.
She had just lost a good friend to pancreatic cancer. Katy, the friend, had such a hard and unrewarding life. She was a nurse and worked hard all day and then went home and climbed on a tractor and helped her husband until dusk.
He cheated on her and then got all the property in the divorce because he paid off her lawyer. Later, she found out that he had molested their daughter. You have to wonder why innocents suffer as they sometimes do. I never knew Katy well but I liked her and was shocked at her death.

Interspersed with our projects, I have done all my Christmas shopping. I can get so much more bang for my buck at the spring sales. Everyone continues to share their shopping secrets. When I bought China's tuna at the dollar store, the clerk confided that she fed her cat the juice over crumbled bread and then used the tuna for her sandwiches. I hope her poor cat catches lots of mice for protein because it doesn't sound like a good feline diet.

Rex got me up at midnight to go out and then refused to come back in so I let him stay out and he is dead tired this morning. June brought her Bichon Frise with her and I thought he would pee on my new carpet but he didn't. He is a darling and has such a cute personality. He went after China and she hasn't recovered from the shock yet.
