There will probably be a lot of blogs today about Teddy Kennedy but it all boils down to the fact that he was a flawed human being just like the rest of us and still managed to do an enormous amount of good.
The tone is so different from the hullabulo about Michael Jackson. I am still disgusted with the feeding frenzy that surrounded his death. I hope they have finally buried him and put a rest to it. It is pitiable that it is all about the money and salacious gossip .
We had a terrific storm last night and lots of rain. I can't believe our August has been so wet and relatively cool. I have a begonia that looks like it is on Steroids.
I am going to try to coddle it over the winter. I think the crepe myrtle we planted in the front is doing well and it should root and be established by winter. It tempts me to plant the hibiscus and then mulch heavily around it.
It is time to think about getting a rick of wood also.
The winter is creeping up rapidly and our weather has changed so much that I am expecting it to be severe. Would you believe we had an overnight low of 69 degrees? That is unheard of in Oklahoma, in August.
By the way, the murdered pastor that Laura blogged about
has created a flurry of speculation. They won't reveal how she died but the Medical Examiner's office just says it was an unspeakable crime.
