Ted has tried all sorts of glasses but never found a pair that he could live with. He basically only needs reading glasses but can't stand the kind I buy at the Dollar Tree. On Veterans Day he went on another quest and the optician wouldn't sell him any without a prescription but of course there was an optometrist next door. When he got ready to
pay for his prescription the optometrist said, "It's on me to thank you for being a veteran." It astonished both of us.
Now, knowing Ted, I know he will not be happy with the
glasses very long. They won't restore his sight and that is what he expects. He is in denial when it comes to getting older and insists that all of his pictures lie.
I was reminded of my bad experience with CVS afterI
read Red Impala's blog. I am one of those people who have trouble sleeping. My doctor gives me tamizapam to help me get a good nights sleep. CVS renewed my prescription and
got it quite a while before it was due. I just happened to be in the doctors office and told him I wanted a renewal and he said he had been called by CVS and renewed it 10 days ago.
We both thought someone in the pharmacy had paid for it and kept it, using my insurance. He advised me to change
pharmacies which I did.
It is pretty hectic at our house now with the holidays and the
cruise we have planned. Since it is our present to ourselves for our 25th anniversary, we got a stateroom with a balcony.
It is a miracle that either of us was able to stay married twenty five years.
