This is the title of the Martha Grimes mystery novel that I have been reading. She is one of my favorite mystery writers along with Elizabeth George and P. D. James. Read this one if you have a chance to get a copy. It kept me guessing to the very end. Ruth Rendell is great too.

Ellie and I went back to the two estate sales yesterday. Things are half price until four and then they go to 75 percent off. It was stifling and there was hardly any place to park. Ellie missed out on the bone china tea set by about a minute that she wanted. I got a waste basket and she got a nice box with little drawers for jewelry. After that we went across the street to the other one and I put a l00 dollar bid on a 600 dollar indian rug and got it. Dean brought it to me after the sale closed. He is such a sweetheart. I wish he didn'thave a girl friend so
I could fix him up with some of my single friends. We have been trying to look the rug up. The people were evidently serious collectors of Native American art.

I have to go to the library today. It is housed in a big gorgeous building but has hardly any books. Go figure.

I heard some guy griping about the parking and he wanted to
get it restricted to residents only. The reason that the
traffic was so high is that people kept calling their friends and family because the sales were so good. One nut
just stopped in the middle of the street. A girl who wanted my parking place stopped traffic until I could get out.
