Too Much Work- Too Little Time

I am still preparing for that award luncheon. Yesterday, I picked up the 'perpetual' awards- those passed on year after year that get just a brass plaque attached to them with the recipients name. They look like crap from decades of dust and neglect so I spent the evening cleaning the wood and metal parts. They will never look new again, but they sure look better!
Today, I am off to have lunch with a friend, then a few more errands. Wish I could sleep at night. My 'nights' have gotten later and later. I've lost all sense of day and night.

Love the tiger. I have a hard time sleeping, too. Sometimes I listen to audiobooks on my iPod, with the sleep timer set, and that lulls me to sleep. It's a big deal if I make it through until the first light of dawn.

I listen to soft music and to chants. My favorites are the Benedictine monks. Sometimes, I even listen to the Koran, available as a free iPad app. (It has the English text on the page opposing page but I don't often read it.) The Koran is canted and that is very soothing.

Since my strength level has changed, I don't do early-morning workouts anymore. I sometimes do them late in the day and bike during the twilight (thus avoiding the sun and I am not supposed to be exposed anymore). The result is I am up till one or two a.m. Ed thinks this is awful. But that's what my bod wants. I'd have to make a major effort to change things.

I wish I could sleep by 1:00 AM. That was years ago for me. I am doing a terrible job of recycling my body. I don't like being up all night.

Trazedone helps and it is pretty mild. So does walking in the evening.
I have always had a problem with sleep and hot chocolate is good too.

I used to take Trazodone but I stopped when I got locked in nightmares and could not wake up. Now, I am afraid to take anything, but since I have experienced fewer and less frightening nightmares, I may want to consider it again.
