Well, Martin, you DO like to read. And, you DO like to use a computer. So I think you will LOVE the time you spend reading that book and mastering the vista on your new computer!
It's funny but it's so true! I've been to horse country and to bling bling country. I've heard the Spanglish and picked up the southern accent. I've bumped into Seminole fans and I've bumped into Seminoles! But, I think the state should stay as one.
This is such a great story!
I have not gone to Disney World specifically for any Gay Day, but I have been there when there was a Gay Day. It was quite a sight and everybody was having such a great time! (Now, Martin, here's a bit of silly but neat trivia...as you and many may know, cities and the airports that serve them (or the destinations that are associated with specific airports) are known and identified by abbreviations...such as the airport for Las Vegas is LAS, for Memphis is MEM, and for Orlando is MCO. Travel agents have to know a heck of a lot of codes and don't have time to spend looking them up for every airport that comes up in a day's work, so agents start memorizing at least the more popular ones, especially if the abbreviation is not as obvious a one as ATL (Atlanta), for instance. Orlando can not be ORL because that belongs to another airport already, so it's MCO. To help remember that "code", we learn that the letters mean "Mickey Comes Out". lol)
Well, you know I will come here to read and comment on your blogs because I wouldn't want to miss them or you. I do feel bad, though, because I know you won't be seeing all of my posts, but I do get to post some here from time to time, so I know you will at least get to see those. But, don't worry, I'll be coming in here often enough to see you.
Journaling is tremendous. I couldn't be bothered writing in a journal when I was in therapy, but I got a book of blank pages anyway. My words never seemed to express the intensity or angle of what I was feeling...just words on paper...but I ended up journaling anyway, in a way that even I didn't realize was journaling. I doodled...squiggled out little pictures and random, single words or expressions. I wrote down the word for my mood and then maybe some song titles of songs that came to mind that would "sing" the way I was feeling or what I was thinking. As time went on, more writing did start appearing and, as you can see, I love to write now. Some of my writing is still along the lines of journaling.
What great gifts! I love those angels. You must love them, too, they are beautiful. The two hands...now, I think that is so special. It's a very touching piece that made me smile the minute I saw it. Oh, ok, I won't forget to mention the flowers because flowers are always nice to get!
Thank you, I did have a nice Mother's Day spending the afternoon with my mom. It sounds like you had an awesome Mother's Day and I am so happy for you.
Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's passing. She is now at peace and your time of waiting for it has come. The nice weather and time off couldn't have come at a better time, could it? Your family got to spend such a nice together doing some really nice things. Oh, and please send along my Happy Birthday wishes to your wife.
Oh, but don't you really, really need those tweezers?
Sounds like a nice to me. I'm so happy you enjoyed it.
Hey, that's very nice. I can see those as stocking stuffers, shower favors, card party gifts, and projects for people (even seniors) to make for bazaars. Very nice.
Sorry to hear you're still not feeling better. If you feel well enough to be up to a quick trip to the dollar store, then I highly recommend it because it will give you a little break, get you out of the house, and make you feel like you've still accomplished something even though you're not feeling well. Hope you're feeling better soon!
It's not fun being sick, but if you can get somebody else to handle the chores, I would definitely recommend it. Relax, take it easy, and get better. Knit while you are doing all that, of course!
It truly is a special day! Please enjoy this Mother's Day, too, ok?
