That balancing thing is good...there are cultures (especially Asian) who incorporate balancing into many of their "exercising" routines, dance styles, and self-defense techniques because working on being/getting balanced is exercise in itself, staying balanced is a bit of exercise, and the presence of balance represents a level of fitness/health. And, take this into consideration...I know that I have to concentrate whenever I need to balance myself or anything, so it brings about good exercise for the mind, too, and whoever said it wasn't good to exercise both the body and the mind?
And my sequel is "sorry, but I'm not interested, part 2".
Gee, AJ, another "I don't care for this" from me.
Ahem...nope.
Edie and I tend to use life partner or, when in conversation, partners in life or partners for life. I do see official notices and announcements in papers that say life companion, special friend, special companion, and "our" choice that I mentioned earlier, life partner.
You must be so excited to see your name in the paper again. It sets a sense of realism to it all, doesn't it?
Tracy, I feel like such a fool because this post and your comment on it are so bloody old that it's possible that nobody even cares about it anymore. But, I want to add this reply anyway, because you brought up a good point...about walking in the rain. Oh, yeah, walking to get rid of frustration or to cool off from some anger is always good, but doing that in the rain always does seem to work. Of course, there's been little rain around these parts lately, but I really haven't been tantrum-ing lately, so that's a good thing. Thanks for leaving your comment and being so patient while waiting for a reply.
Hey, I liked those answers. It's nice when you can call your sister your best friend. My brother is a best friend of mine, so I know how wonderful that feels.
Chihuahua pups may be small but they can certainly be a handful! It's good your dog gets along so well with the puppy, sort of a play pal.
Glad your daughter likes her job...now you have two happy working kids. Isn't that great? And, finally, you are getting some things fixed around your place...it's about time, that's all I can say. I'm glad you applied a little pressure because you are getting some long-awaited results.
I hope the coffee was really good after having to wait so long for it. That's awful! I think I'd be pretty upset if I had to wait for coffee because that's something I want right away when I order it. I think you'll get ice cream in the hospital and, even more likely in rehab. Those places are usually pretty good in the ice cream department, unless you give them reason to refrain from giving it to you. I'm glad to hear that you are as positive and upbeat as you are...that's the right attitude for everything in life, as you have so often told me and others. You go get 'em, Martin, the hospital and rehab will never be the same after you've graced them with your charm, wit, wisdom, and smile.
I'm definitely a fan of Doris Day. I loved her movies and, yes, especially those with Rock Hudson, but they were all very enjoyable. Calamity Jane was a favorite of mine, too, now that I think of it. I didn't realize, though, just how unhappy she was and how she's hidden herself away so much. I did not about her being an animal advocate and not being involved in acting anymore, but I didn't know she has actually been shutting people and the world out of her life.
A little different than the version I first heard, but the punchline is the same and just as funny!
I'm curious enough to want to see this. I think it will be fascinating on stage. Seeing it live (as opposed to on the screen) will make it seem as intense as the movie ever was, so I don't think there'll be a lack of goriness as far as the audience is concerned. Yeah, I can see this as an artistic stage presentation, worthy of being a theater production.
I wish success, lots of applause, and nothing but rave reviews. The kids deserve it and I commend all involved for seeing it through.
I reaaly like the show and it deserves the praise it gets.
I didn't realize how far back McKellen goes...gee, time does fly. I hope for only the best for him.
