With this second volume in the trilogy, it has become clear that the supervillains are doing what they think needs to be done to keep their world safe. Part of that, though, means removing the Justice League so it cannot interfere in those plans. One of the most important aspects of that is removing the big three: Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. That is accomplished in a unique way for each of them and through a great amount of teamwork between many of the supervillains.
This forces a number of the well-known secondary heroes to rise to the occasion and try and get things back on track. That ha salways been the strength of the Justice League. It's numbers and teamwork have always allowed them to overcome what has seemingly been the impossible.
As with most second volumes in a series, this one further developes the plot and the characters to help set up the exciting conclusion that is coming in final volume. The art continues to be exceptional. This cover provides a look at many of the villains who are highlighted in the trilogy.
