I loved the post. Very comical, as usual. I love how you make me laugh!
Hey, I'm enjoying these posts of yours very much. It makes me think of the places I have lived and it's funny how much a part of our lives the homes become. This was a great idea of yours because, as expected, this post was great.
Happy Birthday...belated, yes, but I still want it and you to be happy!
It's good to have you back and to have heard (and seen) about your holiday, which I am still very jealous about. Getting all settled back in at home and getting back to normal can sometimes not be as quick and easy as one would think...it takes a little time and there are certain things that need to be done first. But, you seem to be ok now, so that's great!
Paydays! I love 'em! You're doing great, Kelli!
I love the picture, she looks like such a nice person, someone who is easy to talk to and get along with. I'm glad you got to spend all that great time together. Too bad you didn't have enough time to talk! Seriously, there's always so much to talk about, isn't there? Such fun!
I laughed so hard when I read this and commented before, now I'm laughing from reading it and while commenting on it again! You are just too funny!
This was good news back when I originally read it and it's still good news as I am now commenting on it.
Yummmmmmm! Shoo fly pie! I haven't had it in years...hmmm, the last time I had it was the last time I made it! (Can't get it any other way around here.)
I'm not a huge fan of Costner, but I do like him and tend to like a lot of movies he is in. William Hurt is a proven talent and, although I may not seek out a movie just because he is in it, I enjoy the characters he plays. I do not care for Demi much at all, but don't mind her in a movie if I want to see the movie and like the story. So, the storyline sounds darn good, your review sounds darn good, and I don't mind seeing the "stars" that are in this movie, so it sounds like one I should put on my "to see" list.
The entire trip sounds like it was so wonderful and memorable. To be able to travel through different countries like that, making stops along the way, sounds exciting and so foreign to me because, as you know, as we drive and drive here we only cross state lines and stay right within our own country. Fortunately for me, and I have made this trip a few times, we are only 8 hours from the Canadian border, so visits to another country are possible for me even when driving. Otherwise, it takes flying to get outside of the country because things south of our border are pretty much too far for us unless we had extended vacations like you do. I look forward to checking out your new pictures when they get added...oh, they might have been added by now, so let me go check out your gallery and see.
You are doing so great, Kelli, and I'm sure you will be just fine at your job. I have faith in you and I know that you have a lot of faith, so you are going to make it. It's great that your kids bond with their dad because, as bad as the abuse might have been, if it's stopped and all are doing ok, then there's more to a person than just the abusive nature and victim nature. In other words, there's still more to the man than just some of the things he did...there are interests and other personality traits that, if they had existed without the abuse, would have made him a wonderful dad. His weakness may be something that can never be forgotten, but your kids know first-hand the mistakes and failings of human beings, like it's something so alive and well in human nature, but they have learned from it, can maybe still see a whole person there (not just the flaws), and can go on without making the same mistakes, helping others to avoid or escape those flaws, and possibly set an example to others and help eliminate this type of "flaw" from our society.
I knew these right away!!! Hooray! Although I know you have probably already posted the answers, I haven't gotten that far in my reading yet, so I haven't seen them. And, I answered them (in my head) before I read any of the comments. So, I don't feel so much a flunkie anymore, which makes up for the last quiz you did and I failed.
These I did not know and, I'm sorry to say, I didn't have the time to look them up. So, I guess you got me on these...oh, I'm such a flunkie.
This had me laughing so hard, I was crying! I could just picture it all because my grandmother was a little spitfire, too, so I could relate very well. I could also picture YOU as you were hearing all of this because I remember my reactions when I heard my grandmother tell me her stories.
Those little ol' men really ought to be careful...they take a liking to ladies too darn quick, and usually the ladies ain't as smitten as they are!
Congrats to the winners! How'd they get to be so smart, anyway?
