A Journey Into My Life

Life & Events > Thank You Eddie!

Thank You Eddie!

Thank you "Eddie" for not giving me the boot. I didn't actually think you would. Your a "cool guy" and I say that all the time. Plus I am sure you know "how I talk" in general. It's just that "healthcare" to me is a "major issue".

I don't believe "anyone in America", wants to "pay for someone" to sit on their "ass" all day, do drugs and not contribute. That is what happens here, and (so you Europeans know) is the reason "Many" Americans are against "Universal Healthcare".

Here's a "background of my life". Just so you who "don't understand" where I am coming from. I have "worked" my ass off my entire life. I am "top" in my game, but I still can't afford "healthcare". See if your in a "corporation", or most any "real life job", it's not quite as hard for you. A "corporation" has a "pool" of people. Keeps the rates down. Anytime I ever looked into healthcare it was like "$2000 a month, $2500 deductible, You'll pay 50% of prescription drugs.

I've lived around the "druggies" that don't do "flying crap", as well as those that work and try. I have set up at a "show" every single week for "37" years (earlier years with my parents), the last 24 years alone as my business and sole income. I meet "4 or 5" self employed vendors "every single week". In other words, I probably have met "10's of thousands". I'll tell you for a "fact", 90% of them don't have healthcare. Unless they are "senior citizens" or something like that. The "50 million" Americans that "have no health insurance" really aren't the "poor", aren't the rich". It's the "working poor" (Mostly) Those that are "trying hard", but nothing built into the system for that.

Drug people, and chit. Pisses me off just like it does you. I watch they sit on their "ass" all day, do nothing. They get "medical care, food stamps, all that crap". Nothing pisses me off "more" then knowing they get "Everything free", when I struggle to make my shows every week. I pay gas, vehicle expenses, everything. Plus I have to cut all those coins. If they live "next door", I come home. They are smoking a joint or something, relaxing all day. I worked, they didn't. Even "illegal immigrants" here have better health care then me.

FOR THE RECORD, I'VE NEVER GOT "FOODSTAMPS" or ANYTHING FROM THE GOVERNMENT. I don't even want it. What I want is a "system", where "people like me", can "actually afford to see a doctor" when sick. Something "income based". Self employed already pay double the taxes you do (income based). Not sure if you knew that.

I was "reading" the "thread" (on this subject I started.. lol). One person said Something like "They didn't have a problem" when someone has a "Medical emergency" and they get care. But I confused the "subject of medical care". So basically they are saying "yes if you have a Heart Attack or something", it's your right to get medical care. But NOT preventative care.

LISTEN, the "logic" is completely stupid to me. Everyone "will get" sick eventually. Probably costs more to "treat" a heart attack, then to prevent it.

"Cough cough"... what the "fuck may I spread to you? I haven't seen a doctor in years. You don't want "preventative care for ALL Americans. I hope you catch some "Nasty" chit from me. I only have 500 or so people up close to me (at my booth each week). I wonder what I am spreading.. no clue. I don't feel I am sick, but ya never know.... I don't see many doctors.

The "healthcare" system needs a "complete overhaul". I guess this is my point. So many of you don't like "Obama's" way, but at least he's trying. If you don't like his "way" at least "weigh in" with better ideas.

That's it for now. Luv ya "Eddie"!!!

Gary :)
