I bought me this "cool" looking "Polish Shirt" at the "Polish Festival" today. Hell, even the show promoter commented how "cool" it looks on me.. lol.
Yes dears, I am a fucking "Polok". I think I am about "half".. When I go into my "heritage". I'm pretty much "Polish, Lithuanian (neighbor to Poland), with some English and French thrown in. Roxann is Polish too. We think (doing the math) Sebastian is about 50% Polish. Being he was made between us both.
So go ahead. Say some "Polish Jokes". I don't mind. I'll just "fuck with your ass" forever and ever.. lol.
Actually, I am proud to be "Polish"! I really am. So I kinda wanted to have a shirt to show it.
So here I am. Wearing "Iron Crosses", and a Polish shirt at a Polish festival. I wondered the reaction at first. To some "older" Polish, they think of "Germany and WW2". Some consider the "Iron cross" a Nazi thing. Most younger consider the "Iron cross" just a "Biker/Chopper thing". (Which is mostly now) Really, I had no problem at all. The "Iron Cross" (to me) is just a love of choppers, the "Polish eagle" is heritage. I see no conflict. Neither do I see a problem with the "Christian Cross" in my ear, The dead (real scorpion) on my wrist, the Dragon on my necklace, or the beer in my hand....lol.
To be honest. How I look "attracts" lots of "attention" to me. How I act, how I work. I NEVER lack people watching me. All for different reasons. I can promise this, every show I do. I am the "most watched" person in the place. From the display, to looks, to how I deal with things. How fast I work. 99% of the time, once someone comes over.. they got no problems with me. 99% of the time I just get compliments. On like everything.
From my perspective. It's "cool", but sometimes "not cool". Sometimes, vendors just want to know "how to do things". They watch when I set up, when I tear down. They wanna know how to "park" places they shouldn't, they want to know how to condense their "display" and be out in "10" minutes like I am. They wonder why I get "free" beers and tips. I feel like I am under a "magnifier" at times. I am watched in every way shape and form.
Someone like "Redwolftimes" would say: "If your so busy all the time", why do you have problems with bills at times? That's pretty simple in my world.. lol. I have 5 kids I support. Her 2 live with us (17 and 15). Plus the baby Sebastian lives with us (15 months). I have 2 other kids (18 and 12.. I pay support). They all eat, all need stuff. Sebastian goes through diapers like crazy. Plus I have a ton of other bills. I work "weekends" most. It doesn't matter if I do a one day show and make $1000.00. The money is gone in an instant. Matter of fact, if I sell $1000, with fee's and supplies.. I may have had to pay $300 first. Plus taxes and all that other BS.
I do know this. You won't find many "vendors" that can make a "total living" working like I do. I've done it "24 years now". Nothing else coming in. I don't get crap from the government (never had food stamps or anything), and don't want nothing. I just got with Roxann 2 years ago. So there is some help now. Before, I did this "two decades", on just my shows. I've made "hundreds of thousands" of necklaces for people". If I even got into saying all the "famous people I've met and done work for" You'd be surprised. Usually cool to meet, but most are the "cheapest" fuckers around. No wonder why they are "rich"..
I am good at what I do. Actually "GREAT" at it. Hasn't made me rich so far, nor will it ever.
Overall, I'd say it hasn't been bad. I've had bad times and slept in a ditch. Then I turn it around and make thousands quick. Like a "roller coaster" really. I'm just along for the ride. This life isn't for "everyone". For me it is.
Oh.. "Sorry", got off on a tangent. Yeah, I love this new "Polish Shit"! I spent the $15.00 for it and I am happy!! I'll be wearing is around town....
Gary :)
