Gary and the Tatoo Guy

Picture taken today. My booth was on the left, his on the right. You can't see either display) or the size here, but I thought I'd post anyway. I'll try to get some taken tomorrow when the place is "hoppi'n".

I didn't write about our "garden" in this post, but I did previous. This is our back yard. I wanted to give you the "scope" of the "garden" we are planting this year. We have a "Huge" back yard here. Those houses behind are all huge, 300,000+ homes. So that will let you know just how big this thing is gonna be.. lol.

-------------------------------------------
We did the show today with the "tatoo/body piercing" guy. Actually, it went pretty well. Friday is always the slow day, Saturday is the "money day". We had a booth together. There was no lack of people at our booth.

Tomorrow will be the "kicker". We have to wake up at "5am", because the car and bike show starts. They close off the streets. So we gotta be set up before that. Damn, I so DREAD that.. I am not a morning person. Neither are the tatoo peeps.

I sold more then they did. But he gets "return" people for tats and piercings. So we were both doing decent. Since the major attractions will be basically "right beside" us tomorrow (Bike and car show with hundreds of them), I expect to do very well.

We got along great. This is our first show together. We watch their booth, they watch ours. We both cater to "basically" the same type of people. We talk alot, and enjoy the company. I think we will be doing alot of shows together.

Mostly, we get "Bikers", "people covered in Tatoo's", people "pierced all over". Ya know, those types.. lol. The ones some think are the "scourage" of society.. lol. Actually, these are the people I get along with best. Sure they "swear" a bit more then most, sure they live a different life. But you know what, Bikers and others are (to me) by FAR the most relistic, and decent people there are. It's just a different life that's all. Today, some old lady was getting "too hot and tired" (It was a very hot day). The tatoo people got up and gave her a chair to sit on. Myself, several "handicapped" people wanted some things. I either gave it free, or a great discount. The point is, unless you know this "crowd", don't judge them too harshly. Mostly people like these, will do anything for anyone. We like to live "free", we don't hold our thoughts back well.. but deep inside, we are all "teddybears".. lol.

My work also helps to bring other types in. Yes, I have "pot leaves" and such on display. But I also have "Roller Blades, Crosses" and other designs. So although the "Biker type" (or kids into rock bands) are most attracted to my booth, we still get the "old ladies" buying for their grandkids, and we still get the "average" people looking.

I know I am pretty "blunt" in the blogs. But I am just giving a sense of me. We are "respectful" to everyone at work. We talk different among ourselves. I mean, we won't "swear" or anything if we percieve the customer would take offence. Not around kids either. But in a certain way, we talk "natural" to eachother (I mean all these types), and we don't do anything to offend. Again, it's just a different lifestyle. I guess my hope is, some of you understand it a little better.

One thing good about being by a "body piercing/tat" artist is this. The "Amount of HOT babes that comes to the booth is incredible! They love showing off their "tats", love showing the "Piercings".. lol. Eye candy for sure!! I never lacked that with just my booth. Cause women want me to put on a coin, the tats they have other places...lol. But being with a professional who does it for a living.. there is ALOT more. I call it, a JOB PERK!.. lol.

I'll try to get some pics to you "tomorrow" (when it's busy). The ONE we got today isn't too good. I thought I'd post it anyway. It really doesn't show our booths, or the people there. Tomorrow it will be PACKED!

Anyway, I'll keep you all updated on the "Journey into my Life".. Take care!! Gary :)
