Awesome Yard Sale!

Huge, HUGE!! Yes I plan to make it that way! ..

See I was sitting at the "Flea Market" in Bay City this weekend. Truthfully, we didn't do chit. Nobody did really. I'll say again, right now both "Roxi and I are" broke. We got some bills that need to be paid. As I sat there, I thought I need to do something "Monday-Friday" this week, but how, I have "Sebastian" full time.

I decided to have a "Huge Yard sale this week"!! We have a perfect location.. we are right across the "middle school" (busses, traffic, all that).

I talked to a few vendors, and we may get other people. To me, the bigger it is, the more chances people stop. Right now, I know Roxi has alot she can put out, I do too (plus alot more in storage we may pick up), plus my display, a vendor couple (with a big booth they travel with), Roxann's kids "Stephen and Jeremy" have stuff.. plus.. if it starts looking good, I will call some vendors *that I know live close, and don't work in the week", to bring in stuff.

It's "Already a GO"! I actually have my displays, and tables set up now (I did that once I got home from the flea market). We need to get more stuff priced.. more out.. but it's moving along well. It should be "huge" by Tuesday. It will run "Monday - Friday" for sure (No biggie, it's in our yard.. I can do that and watch Sebastian). It may go through the weekend if it does well (If not, I find a show, I know many places).. that we will see..

I want to get some posterboard either "tonight" or tommorow after Roxi comes home from work. Make BIG signs. Hell, I have a massive video game collection... we are right across a middle school.. lol. I just think it may take a day or two.. to make it what I want. Still... no matter what, it will be highly "visable".. And no expenses..

I have "one worry".. we are right across the "Middle school".. the police patrol, all that (which is good and bad).. They may have an issue with the "parking" situation. You don't need a "permit" to have a garage sale.., but this could become an issue. My thought.. "Fluck it, gonna do it.. wait and see if they close me down". I warned the others it is possible. There is this "special lane" to let my near neighbors in their driveways during school time. So no matter what, it won't slow traffic.. unless your a neighbor of mine. Because you can't use that lane, if people are parked for my garage sale. If a problem.. very least, I'll meet my new neighbors.. lol.
-----------

One last thing. I completely forgot to mention this last night. There was this kid (well 3, but I'll talk about the 1) at the market yesterday (and today). He had these "bicycles" for sale. He tried to sell me this "awesome" bike for $20. I felt it was stolen, needed some kinda proof it wasn't. I finally said.. ok, I'll trade ya a few necklaces. No he said.. I am homeless.. I need food... I'll make it $10, I'm on the street....

If he was telling the truth.. truely on the "street" and starving, just selling his bike.. I would have in a second. I would have given him more too. But alot he said didn't "jive" and I was certain the bike(s) were stolen..

Second day (today) the cops came in. After talking to vendors and such. They chased him down (right in front) of my booth, and had a talk. Seems, the last few weeks he has been selling "bikes" at the market. They said, you were trying to sell bikes here yesterday.. he said "I wasn't here yesterday" (Outright lie on him, cause he tried to sell to me.. I said nothing.. they had enough on him).. The cops caught him in a lie. He did sell one bike to another vendor that day (which now the stupid vendor is out).. and he and a friend bought "bolt cutters" from another "vendor" last week.. just before they came up with these bikes.. lol.

Guilty.. yes he is. He was over 18.. went to jail. Another friend involved did too (over 18).. One other kid was involved, under 18.. he went home to "face" mommy.. lol.

I guess if it was "really" in a situation (where he had to steal) for food.. I'd feel sorry. However, we noticed.. with his "bike proceeds".. he bought a nice "gangsta looking cap"..lol. He bought it, shortly after claiming he had no food to me... No.. he may be having a hard time.. but is a young lying punk. This time.. I was glad to see the "authorities" involved.. might wake this one up....

Later all, Gary :)

Sounds more like a "circus" than a "yard" sale.
