You probably haven't heard of this name before. Arnel Pineda (as of Dec 5th, 2005 - when announced) became the lead singer of the "Legendary band" JOURNEY!

Twenty years ago, every woman and every man was into "Journey". The 80's... I promise you, ask ANY person who grew up in the 80's, and Journey was a big influence on their lives. It was all that "love song stuff" that Steve Perry was soooo good at. He could peel girls panties off, from a country away. His songs "melted my heart" as well as most of your parent's hearts. Lots of you here, that read this.. were conceived during a "Journey song".. whether mom admits or not...

Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. This was where Arnel Pineda was born. He put up an internet video. One of the original members of Journey heard it, and suddenly he became the "lead singer" of Journey. I read about this before, and thought it was stupid of them. The original members, get some dude that isn't even "American" to replace my FAVORITE singer of all time!?? I avoided even listening or reading it.

Today, I did listen to "Arnel Pineda in concert with Journey". All I have to say is WOW WOW WOW!!! This dude is amazing. If you listen to the new Journey on You Tube, you will NOT notice the difference in his voice and Steve Perry's. He is that good! I hope they make alot of original music with him, I really do. He is "Great".. and I am one "asshole critic".. if he wasn't I would've canned him here, as Steve Perry is my hero!

In general, I hate "wanna-bees" becoming the lead singer of a great band... because they lost the main for some reason. Think of this however, Bon Scott (Of AC/DC) died, and was replaced by a person that sounded alot alike "Brian Johnson". Nobody alive can say, the formula didn't work with that "Sound Alike".. AC/DC is still huge today! Journey can be too.. you gotta hear this new guy! Do a search!

Like I said above, Steve Perry is my hero. I love his voice, I love everything about him! No, I'm not gay, but if he asked me I'd blow his nuts dry. He just had it all to me!

I am greatly saddened that he isn't in "Journey" now. They are touring (most original members). From what I can tell that's his choice. I guess they had some probs, and well that's not for us to figure out.

Today, if either "Journey" without Steve Perry... or Steve Perry alone had a concert near here.. I'd sure try to make it! Nothing against Steve Perry... (he rocks!), but the new guy does too (Arnel Pineda). Check him out on You Tube!
