French Graffiti

After reading Hayduke's post, I decided it was time to follow up on some of the resolutions I have by writing them down and taking one first step.

I have decided to watch one foreign film with sub titles, which I did.

"The Last Deadly Case" - very French, and I rather enjoyed it. Eddie Izzard's "I'll teach you how to speak French while I tell you the exciting parts of the movie SPEED really paid off.

My question to you guys is this...

I noticed a good bit of French Graffiti written on the walls in the darker parts of Paris. Does anyone have any personal experience regarding gangs in France?

I will googled it, but just thought maybe a few of my world traveling friends might have something interesting to write.

Yes, one of my other resolutions was to try and blog more often. I hope I can keep this up, I do enjoy it so.

Happy New Year all,
Cindy

I don't particularly like reading subtitles, but I hate it when the dub English into the mouths that don't fit properly around the words...know what I mean? Those Japanese movies where the mouths move for twenty seconds straight and the subtitle is, "What?"
I like your second resolution better than your first. It would be GREAT to hear from you more often. (I can't fight Grumpy off by myself, you know!)

"Kilroy" appeared in graffiti during WW II, all over the place wherever soldiers were stationed. It even appeared on the walls of war ruins in Europe. (It has one 'L.')

If I ever got to Paris, which is highly unlikely, I wouldn't be touring "the darker parts". I would imagine there are gangs everywhere.

It said "Killroy was here."

I would write on a wall in Paris: "I climbed to the top of the Eiffel tower and I could see my house from there". But, I would write in in a lost tongue of some lost island so people would really wonder.
