I usually have a hard time getting gifts for my mother. This time, I thought I had the perfect thing, though.

I used photos from an old family album to make her a calendar. This is what I put on the cover.

Mom is the baby.
Unfortunately she likes it so much that she won't use it. Too pretty to write on, she says.

But she was happy to have it and that's the thing. She can still use it -- it's a calendar isn't it? She can see what day it is. Happy New Year.

You're right - she could see what day it is IF she would open it and look. She's got it propped up so all she sees is the cover and she likes it that way...

She is who she is.
