My divorce cost much less than that, but I can relate to the relief of sending that last check to the lawyers. Phew! Congrats for sticking to a plan and following to the end. That speaks volumes for your character and could be a huge lesson for your kids.
Sounds as though you had a terrific teacher. I'm looking forward to seeing your art - and reading more of your posts. Welcome to MyBloggers. I'm adding you as a friend, too.
I realized that I should have made it clear that I didn't take all 8 of those AD's to fight the same episode of depression. Rather, that's the number I've tried in the last 20 or so years.
German was nearly chosen for our official language too. English got one vote more than German.
Gee, I feel better now about what I had to pay to get rid of my ex. Peanuts compared to those two... If someone could tell me how to keep my scalp from getting all oily, etc., I might like a hairdo that would last a whole week too.
Oh I hope you didn't tell the PCT what you were up to! It would make him so much more fun to pick on next time, don't you think? If you do Lucy and Ethel, can I be Ricky? I got the "Lucy, you got some 'splanin' to do" line down pat.
Wow, your blueberries come in a lot earlier than ours. I'm going to pick raspberries this year for the first time since my son was a toddler. Yum! They are ready now. It will be at least another month before blueberries would be good picking. I always used to go with my grandma Hilda, and she could outpick me even when she was 90! Sorry to hear about Pooky. I know how hard it is to put them down.
But you are a writer! I hope you keep on writing, Sue. I would miss your posts very, very much.
I'm so glad I found you! You've outdone yourself with this one.
I've had a Neighborhood Neanderthal every time I've moved... This time I'm fortunate enough to have him right next door to me.
I like the way it's worded. Sounds like common sense, but it's good to have reminders. I was going to say I was bad at #1, but then I read it again and realized it doesn't really fit. I've been told that I interrupt a lot. But I'm only trying to be helpful by giving the CORRECT information.
I like the portrait of family togetherness from the 50's. It's like a Hallmark card. I agree about the river rocks, too bad they're gone.
My mother had a Chevy Nova that was orange with a tan interior. I think they bought it after she graduated from nursing school and got her first full time job, so it was probably a '72. It was orange with vinyl seats, but automatic transmission. I liked her next car much better - it was a baby blue Chevy Camaro!
