"You complete me." Blech!
It sounded silly and sappy at the time but it seemed to fit in the movie when Rene said it to Tom. However, it hasn't sounded good in any other situation since. In the intervening years, I've heard it said about lovers, best friends and even dogs.
I just heard it used on "Poker After Dark" between two players and my tolerance has ended. I don't care if it was said sarcastically, it put me over the edge. I'm just glad I'm home so I can pound on the keyboard about it instead of somewhere I could run my mouth and sound like an idiot!
