I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Hopefully things aren't serious with your mom. Hang in there, Donna. And ((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))
Yes, there is so much need. And there shouldn't be, considering the amount of money that is being spent to bailout huge businesses that squandered much of theirs. There is a food drive to get donations at my daughter's school and I plan to donate there.
I hope you are feeling better now that the day is wearing on. Take care of yourself! And congrats on that great grand child. So exciting!
I got an update today on Chance and read that he is having a sleepover party tonight. That is great! I am so happy that he is doing well.
Well put and in a nut shell.
Sounds so yummy, but I can't seem to ignore the sound of my arteries hardening!
You always have to watch for the other driver because they aren't even watching for themselves!
I never heard of Wheatens. And a Labradordoodle would be just too bouncy, wouldn't it?
That was neat!
I like the haircut! Besides, it is probably cooler and easier to take care of.
I am a firm believer in "what comes around goes around". Unfortunately, it does seem that sometimes ya gotta wait for the good to come around, but I still believe that it does. I also believe the reverse is true. What one does to another that is wrong and negative will likely happen to the doer.
I believe that people can change, but very few do, because it takes a complete u-turn in what they were raised to be. For so many, unfortunately, it is easier to stay in the cycle of dysfunction that they know than to challenge the unknown. You may never know the extent of your involvement in one child's life, but you have to believe that you have had some positive effect. In the future, it may be just one thing that you have instilled in them in that one year you have had them that will come to mind and strengthen them in their quest for change. I understand the difficulty and frustration of your job, and appreciate the commitment you have to your students. I have taught elementary school and was a Title 1 teacher, so I know what it is like to see children come from nearly unbelievable and impossible situations. You are doing a great job, the best that you can. Keep up the good work!
As we all know, yet it still happens, you cannot judge a "group" by the actions or words of a select few. There will always be radicals, whether they be Republican or Democrat, straight or gay, and on and on. It is ridiculous, though, that a huge group of people can be stereotyped by what a few has done. It just shows the ignorance of the one that is passing judgment. Yes, it is shameful what goes on at Blogster. The hate and racism runs rampant, and now that there will be a new President, bloggers have as much as denounced Obama, refusing to acknowledge him as President Elect. What is their next step, to denounce their citizenship, the very thing they accused Barack Obama of doing?!?
Such great pictures and interesting information! Thank you for sharing.
