After reading Terri's (shesaidwhat) post today, I was thinking about this woman her ex married and what she has had to put up with. Not just that, but the crap that this woman and her ex does to Terri's children, which is selfish and shameful.

I have always been fortunate. My ex'es never did remarry or end up in serious relationships, so I didn't have to worry about an outsider interfering in the relationships with my children. Yes, I was lucky indeed.

My son's dad is deceased, and as ornery as my daughter's dad is, I doubt any woman would put up with him. I won't even put up with him. If he doesn't do right by her I tell him so, and when he becomes verbally abusive the conversation ends.

Another post today dealt in part with medications. On my end of this, I have found help and healing in taking medications, in addition to counseling, healthier eating, and exercise. It has given me my voice back, and I feel a hope and optimism that hasn't been there in some time.

I don't and won't put up with the verbal and mental abuse anymore, not from an ex, and not from anyone else. I deserve better than that, and so does any other person, especially the mothers that love their children more than life itself.
