Pizza Fest

Our local Rotary Club had a fundraiser last night at the high school. Eight pizzerias set up tables to sell slices of their pizza. Admission was $2. A donation of canned goods for the food pantry was encouraged. Pop (That is what we call it here.), pizza, chips, cookies were $1 each. My 9 year old grandson and I went. I ate one slice and brought one home. He ate three. We brought two home for his mother. Two cans of pop. We tried pizza we have not had before. Lots of families were there and Rotary made some money. We spent $9 for our night out and had a good time.

Good idea. I'll pass that on to my sister who's a Rotarian. I love pizza and wish I was there!

We do that here to raise money for social events.

Everybody benefits from events like this.

We need that here too. A buck a slice! What a night out that would be. When the firemen sell burgers and hotdogs at events during the summer, they charge $3.50 for a burger and $2.50 for a dog. I'd like to help out (even tho it was the fire company from the next town that saved my house), but not for those prices!

There were so many families with young children. A reasonable night out and no need to try to keep kids quiet or corralled. It was in the high school cafeteria.

Nobody does anything like that around here....unfortunately.

This was the first time here. It looked like a big success, judging by the number of people there. I haven't seen any reports of money made yet.
