We are debating the tree issue now since we have the six month old terror Max who climbs everything. He seems to have something about the ground. I guess we could have a bare tree but that sort of defeats the purpose.
The White Witch sounds outstanding.
I didn't know about B. Vine. I love mysteries, too, especially by female authors with female protagonists.
There are coyotes all around Chicagoland, even in the Loop. I have seen them in the back yard next door in the morning and trotting up the sidewalk across the street. Not to mention the scat I find in my own backyard.
It is a miracle that we all survived our childhoods and that our children survived theirs, what with no seat belts or car seats or $300 strollers and being allowed to play outside unsupervised.
This just seems to be bad news, more bad news. It is a good thing that you are a strong woman to get through all this alone.
How long will that wood last? A while I hope. Is that about a cord? How nice of those kids to help. Ask and ye shall receive....
My kitchen ceiling also needs to be painted but washed first. What to use to wash the ceiling? It is really mybloggers.
So I guess that was not a live wire since you are here to tell about it. You must have a fireplace since you are retrieving wood. Or a wood stove? No space heater or would that take too much power? You have to carry all that debris up the ladder, across the bridge and down the ladder to get to the road? Sending more good thoughts your way.
Did all the rocks in the yard of the cute little house fall off the mountain behind it? Scary.
You are just shouting because you are excited! And happy! Joyful!
We saw the coming snow on the weather today. What next? A plague of locusts? When you get power, you can get fans going to dry things out, right? I hope you had help emptying out the Red Cabin. When you have lost everything, you try to save even the smallest thing.-like a light bulb. It is just one less thing to replace later.
With each of your posts we can see anew just how devastating this is. The news shows have moved on to something else now. Keep calm and carry on, as they say.
The gorgeous scenery is still there in the midst of the devastation. How far do you have to walk to get to your place? Are you sleeping a little now?
Thanks for the tip on hiding the ads. Dr. Oz said he does not send out any of that stuff. He is suing companies that use his name and likeness without his permission.
