Looking Forward ...

We have voted and the cats and I have decided that this year we will have a Christmas tree. Last year we did not because we had three very young terrors named Choccie, Cocoa and Hobster. But the elder cats will have none of it this season. After all, last year there were no pretty lights or ornaments to knock around.

We will look for a modest tree, small and one that I can stuff in the car trunk and set up in the stand without back problems. One that would be about the size of three or four light strings will do. It will also be much easier to reset when the youngsters knock it over. We expect and accept such behavior.

It will be fun to watch the antics when the decorating begins.

I plan photos.

We are debating the tree issue now since we have the six month old terror Max who climbs everything. He seems to have something about the ground. I guess we could have a bare tree but that sort of defeats the purpose.

I used to enjoy having a tree when I lived with my family in Chicago. But no tree since I left -- life circumstances just kept getting in the way. And, now, of course, if Ed is not enthusiastic, there would be no joy in it. Enjoy your tree with your kitty terrors.

Did anyone actually vote against the tree?

I'm glad to hear it! I can remember when I was younger, I would just sit and enjoy how pretty the Christmas tree looked all decorated and lit up.
