After a couple of coolish days and nights, we are back to hot days again. It is still summer for another week or so, right?
We will have to see if the Outback near our house has that special. We really like their sirloin special, even without the soup and dessert.
Our drought is almost over. The days and nights have been cool but the heat is returning this week. 12000 strawberry plants. Your poor back and knees. Don't forget the sunscreen.

I have written to my local reps and received letters back. That impressed me. I also got one phone call back. More impressed.
I have never seen a white bird of paradise. Interesting.

Younger grandson has a pet gecko which eats crickets so we hear the chirping all year long. We have to feed the crickets special food to keep them alive until they are eaten. Talk about the circle of life...
We are still having warm/hot days so September is OK so far. A little present from Isaac in the form of rain today and tomorrow. It is going to rain on our parade.
Our local Ace closed this year. We still have Tru Value, though, although Menards and Home Depot are tough competition for them. I, too, love to roam the aisles at a hardware store. On my last visit I bough Mosquito Dunks for my water garden. They kill mosquito larva before they turn into full grown biting mosquitos. West Nile virus is here.
