Bonus Days

Sometimes a Saturday will feel like a Sunday, so that makes Sunday a bonus day, because it is Sunday number two.

I spent a lot of time today organizing my digital photographs, trying to weed out the duplicates and the blurry ones.

There are only a few hummingbirds left, and looking at a picture I took last October 1, I still had a feeder out, so they must be leaving early this year, which goes along with all the seasons this year being a couple of weeks early.

Sometime we need to catch up to the normal weather pattern, because we really don't want another year of drought like this one. We coasted along this year on water stored in the reservoirs from last year's high snow melt, but they are drained dry. Let's just hope.

This painting was for sale at an art auction, but I found out too late to go bid on it.

That is a really wonderful painting. Too bad you missed out on it.

I wonder what it sold for.

After a couple of coolish days and nights, we are back to hot days again. It is still summer for another week or so, right?

Last year I had an early frost, and then weeks of hot weather, so I'm being more vigilant about covering the plants if it's feeling the least bit chilly.

Ever since I turned 60 every day had been a bonus day and ever since I retired every day had been a Sunday!!!
One of these days I will have to go through my thousands of pictures--I transferred those I had in albums and then I started taking digital pictures--even with all the pictures I post I am overflowing with them!

Retiring was the greatest gift I've ever had.

I haven't scanned many of my hard-copy pictures, a project for another day.

What a beautiful painting...Perhaps you could copy it when you get started.
It doesn't look hard and it would be different from the original because the
technique would provide variation.

Even the bum views are cute.
Beautiful painting.

Oh, clicky-clicky, I got messed up here with my replies. It's unusual to see so many deer together around here. I hope we see more of them next summer.

I don't like that purple in the ear, so it really is tempting to try my hand.
