Christmas Aftermath

Well, the cookies are almost all gone. Four of the four adults in my family had bad backs Christmas Eve. The recycling bin is crammed with crinkled up wrapping paper and squashed boxes. Three of us received harmonicas as gifts. (unplanned) There was much laughter and silliness. Still no snow and no cold. All in all, it was a good Christmas. I hope yours was as good.

That is a gorgeous gray kitty. Cute story too. Many years ago, when electric knives first came out, everyone in the family gave and received them for Christmas. Coincidentally. That is one of those family stories that lasts. The harmonica year will live on also. My son and I each tape Craig Ferguson every night. Craig plays the harmonica on his show. That is why we were inspired to give each other harmonicas. Unknown to each other. The grandson received one from his uncle.

I too recall electric carving knives. I had used one before, so when I received one for a gift in the mid-1970s, I took it to Goodwill. LOL

I was wondering where the harmonica idea came from! What a great family story to pass down through the years.

Just don't play your harmonica for me! That's like I picnic I attended where everybody brought baked beans.

Hey! I may get good on the harmonica, like one of the Harmonicats. Remember them from the 50s? I am not so good yet.

I went to a picnic where everyone brought bread. The next year everyone brought chips. Then we started assigning food groups. We are not slow learners.

I didn't get my cookies---think Santa ate them????

Your cookies must have been really good for Santa to eat them all. When I was growing up, we always put out milk and cookies and a carrot for the reindeer. One year we put out bourbon. That must have been the doll house year.

I got two bags of pecans for Christmas. That's it! (But oboy are they good!)

Pecans would make me happy, too.
