Happy Easter!

Just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a Happy Easter! May your day be filled with love, laughter and fun.

It's funny, after posting here last week, I had a comment from troutbend about looking at my old posts, particularly one about quitting smoking. It got me thinking and I wandered back to some old posts, including the one about quitting smoking. I'm not sure why, but over the past four years I had thought I quit smoking on April 6, 2011, but by rereading my post and checking a 2011 calendar, I found that I had actually quit on April 5th. Armed with this new knowledge, I'm happy to report that today is also my four year anniversary of being smoke free. It's an accomplishment that I'm proud of.

Happy Easter to you, too. The actual day has passed, but the spirit lingers for a few more days. I didn't bake any special buns this year - hot cross buns with currants that I had to order by mail, or some other special bread. Thinking about it seemed to be enough.

I hear you troutbend, Easter glow lasts a while. I can almost smell those buns and its making my mouth water!

It is difficult to do but I quit almost thirty years ago because I
was coughing all the time and burning holes in my good clothes. MyBloggers
is a tool for research. Mostly lost recipes for me.

I've used mybloggers and the site before mybloggers to research my past. It's certainly more accurate than my memory and I've been reminded of things I had forgotten.

Kudos to you for quitting!!! I quit with each pregnancy but then stupidly started again after. I'm quitting again soon (I don't want the kids to ever think of me as a smoker!) and Skylar is almost 2 so it's past due! Kudos again, its a huge accomplishment! And happy Easter!!!!
