Da Dawg Pound!

Health & Fitness > End of the Day ...

End of the Day ...

May 1, 2015. It’s hard to believe that this year is already a third of the way over. A couple months and we’re at the half way mark.

I had another doctor appointment today, a checkup of the work done on the first six surgeries. Mostly good news. One of the six veins that they collapsed needs to be worked again. Everything else checked out okay. I found out that I’ll most likely need to wear compression socks for the rest of my life. Not too bad. Things could be a lot worse. There are three more veins that I have scheduled for surgery on in June and July. After years of pain or numbness in my legs, these surgeries I’ve had since January have been a God send to me. I’ve been pain free, with no numbness since a few days after the first surgery and the old, active me is back. Doc told me that wearing the compression socks will make my legs feel even better, so I ordered two today. I can hardly wait to find out how I’ll feel.

That’s all for tonight. Have a wonderful night all!

So glad everything is going well. I bought a pair on compression socks for our flight across Canada but I couldn't get them on my feet.

The assistants had a heck of a time getting them on me and I had trouble getting them off, so I got some that are velcro straps. They can be adjusted to different tensions and are supposed to be easier to use. We'll see!

I am glad your surgeries have been so helpful. You will love the
compression socks. I have worn them on long plane trips and they are
just wonderful.

Thank you Jane! It has been nothing short of a miracle for me. With as good as my legs now feel, I can't wait to find out how much better they'll feel with those socks!

Thanks for the reminder, I need to buy some of those socks for a trip to England, to wear on the plane. I hope they work for you.

Thanks trout! My doctors have been spot on so far, so I'm optimistic about the outcome! Have a safe, enjoyable trip to England!
