Better Late Than Never

It has been quite some time since I had last posted here due to the change in URL.  I have been using Blogster sporatically during this past year also keeping a semi-private journal too.  Some things in my life have changed, while other things have remained primarily the same.  I still do my emergency on-call duties every other week since I really need the money.  Work, well that is one of the things that has remained primarily the same.  I still work for the health department here, still doing maintenance work.  Well at least the parts that require lots of strenuous labor anyway.  I made my 4 year anniversary back in January and as of this posting, my pay is still the exact same as the day I walked in for my first day of orientation over four years ago.  The pay is the same, but that pay is worth so much less now than it was four years ago.  Job hunting has still been a fruitless waste of my time and my daily existence was reduced to the absolute minimum until recently.  At the end of last year, beginning of this year, I came really close to losing my home due to the rising costs of everything associated with home ownership.  In December, I inquired with the park management about what I needed to do to bring in a roommate.  I was told that all that was needed was for him/her to be at least 45 years old.  Recently, I moved a friend of mine, Todd, in here.  This is helping and making it easier to keep my home.  Todd and I have been friends for over 30 years as we grew up a block from each other.  Everything has been going well until this past Monday.  The manager told Todd that morning that only certain sections of this park allow 45 year olds here and gee, that my lot doesn't sit in one of those sections.  That Todd would need to be 55 and since he isn't, that he'll need to move out.  We've gotten no formal letter or anything stating that fact, but we're a bit leery now.  This would be a terrible shot to absorb financially for me and Todd.  Management blamed it on HUD rules, but I've spoken with HUD and they have nothing to do with it.  There are a couple state departments that do handle this sort of thing and I've fired off emails trying to get some info on this situation.  All I can do now is wait.
Hopefully, everyone here is doing well and enjoying a great weekend.  I've got some laundry and some yard work to take care of today, so I'll close for now.
Later gators!
