20 000 bees die in Canada

2011-02-13 11:06
Ottawa
- A Canadian museum launched an investigation on Friday into the sudden
death of 20 000 bees on display in a glass encased hive.

"All 20 000 bees died within 48 hours," Amanda Fruci, publicist for the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, told AFP.
"The
cause is being investigated but we know for sure that it wasn't colony
collapse syndrome because that involves bees leaving a hive and never
coming back, and in this case they all died in the hive."

In normal times, bee communities naturally lose around five percent of their numbers.
But
with the syndrome known as colony collapse disorder (CDD), a third,
half - sometimes even 90% or all - of the insects can be wiped out.

In
the United States, government figures released last year showed a 29%
drop in beehives in 2009, coming on the heels of declines of 36 and 32%
in 2008 and 2007.

Mysterious
decimation of bee populations have also been reported in Europe, Japan
and elsewhere in recent years, threatening agricultural crops that
depend on the honey-making insects for pollination.

Thousands
of visitors had viewed the bees at work in a specially designed glass
hive in the Royal Ontario Museum's popular hands-on biodiversity gallery
over the past two years.

They were perfectly healthy until last week when they suddenly died.

take a look at this map of all the recent (from november 2010) mass animal deaths....the numbers are already in the millions!

Back in 2007...this was in the news..
something
prophetic Albert Einstein once said. "If the bees disappeared, man will
have only four years of life left". This comes close to the Mayan
Calendar Prophecy date of 2012 for a shift in consciousness. On a scientific level, it also makes sense. Bee pollination is very important (read below).

Colony Collapse Disorder is
a global problem that has come to light in recent years. No one seems
to know what is causing the problem, but I would guess is all part of
the climate changes in the world, though some speculate it is a result
of cell phone radiation.

Anomalous
weather patterns and turbulent rain storms occurred in New York and New
Jersey this week with 2 tornadoes reported in northern New Jersey that
moved to upstate New York. Tornadoes are not common in these areas.
Where there is severe weather ... trees fall. Could we think of this as
the fall of the metaphoric Tree of Life as trees are crashing down and
getting uprooted everywhere?
The Ring of Fire is living up to its name.... Clients and friends on the west coast again report excessive heat. Wait until Solar Max kicks in .... It totally affects the Ring of Fire and anything can, and
will, happen. Think outside the box to see the emerging patterns which
include increased earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme
weather conditions.
Here's the basic Solar Max Pattern: Ongoing coronal mass ejections reach Earth effecting planetary magnetics ----> shifting ocean and jet stream currents in the Ring of Fire ----> creating unusual and extreme weather patterns around the world
----> creating unstoppable Earth changes affecting the behavior
patterns of all sentient life forms.

EARTH-DIRECTED SOLAR FLARE: On Feb. 13th at 1738 UT, sunspot 1158 u nleashed the strongest solar flare of the year so far, an M6.6 -category blast. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded an intense flash of extreme ultraviolet radiation, circled below:

The
eruption produced a loud blast of radio waves heard in shortwave
receivers around the dayside of our planet. In New Mexico, amateur radio
astronomer Thomas Ashcraft recorded these sounds at 19 to 21 MHz. "This was some of the strongest radio bursting of the new solar cycle," he says. "What a great solar day."
Preliminary
coronagraph data from STEREO-B and SOHO agree that the explosion
produced a fast but not particularly bright coronal mass ejection (CME).
The cloud will likely hit Earth's magnetic field on or about Feb. 15th.
High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras .
The source of this activity, sunspot 1158 is growing rapidly. Click on the image to launch a 2-day movie:

Barely
visible when the weekend began, the active region is now more than
100,000 km wide with more than half-a-dozen Earth-sized dark cores
scattered beneath its unstable magnetic canopy. More Earth-directed
eruptions are likely in the hours ahead.

FROM an email from "Ayesart'
"Between the fishes, crows and bees, we will be seeing more "kill off" of different species in the future.
1: High tech anti insect sprays contribute to pollution in food chain.
2: Higher tech insect sprays that use virus as a medium to carry bug killing agents. Gets into food chain and makes a big cross over to animals.
3: Farmers use a genetically contrived agent to kill chicken fleas en mass, after a time the chickens begin to fall over dead.
4: Viral stuff used as agents for packing a blow to a specific problem are very bad. They are dusted on flowers of produce, bees get it on them and of course, they will die."

"One might begin to think seriously about how Solar Flares might be the agent for our spiritual and physical evolution."
Its all PRANA to us.

The bee population has significantly declined to Oklahoma in the last two to three years. No one knows where they have gone. They are just no longer around.

This bee thing bothers me. Could humans be next?
comment by solitaire on Feb 15, 2011 5:55 AM ()
Well one article I read this morning was about all the food growing in the farms being sprayed with chemicals, that yes we humans will eat. But that didn't account for the ones in the Museum, unless they where feeding the bees something that had these chemical on it, but then why did they all die at one time. I do know if the queen dies the whole hive will die. So maybe the queens ate something and the result was the whole hive going at one time??? Thanks for the visit...

that is so sad to hear.Honey is one of my favorite.
Not sure what is going on and yes the leaders like martin says are ignoring this happening.

See my "take" posted in martin's comments.

As to honey, well honey I too love it and use it a lot...

No wonder the price of honey has gone up.

Something is going on in the world and the 'leaders' are ignoring it!

I wonder if they are ignoring it, or just not telling us. More likely they know and have known for years...thus the push for NASA and Mars and the Moon...

At KFC the other day I was reading the ingredients on the 'Honey Sauce' they give you for the biscuit: high fructose corn syrup, sugar, more sugar, and finally ingredient number four was honey, probably just enough to flavor it. Truly a sign of the honey shortages due to bees dying.
comment by troutbend on Feb 14, 2011 10:49 AM ()
Probably just a sign of the company wanting to save money!
