Getting things with your own money, working and saving had such a sense of accomplishment and pride. Too bad our children have the get it now dis-ease. Credit cards, woe is me.

Persistence and then it becomes habit and then the body takes over the mind chatter, and you find yourself just doing it and not thinking about doing it.
It's a process, a life long one. I'm finally getting it.

Besides food prices..ouch! And services, like today a service man came to steam clean the rugs, he's raised his prices because of the price of gas he said or he'd have to go out of business.

Interesting Post. I suffered from culture shock when we moved to Arizona from CA.
Till I learned to appreciate THIS culture and not compare it to CA, IL, or CO. I have found just being in different States in the US, is so different. Dialect, culture, words and meanings. people on the whole, What was easy to talk about in CA, is like forbidden in AZ. Dressing like I did, was looked at as odd. Crystals, or Crosses..no no.New Age shunned.
So I adjusted, ha ha, "When in Rome do as the Romans do"
