Today is the 23rd of August. Does anyone know why the 23rd of every month (at least for seven more months) rings loud and clear with me? No? Well, it's because today Mak is "officially" a month older, bringing her grand total of months on this planet to 17. Yep. Seventeen months old. Alfrigginready.
To celebrate this great occasion, the two of us spent the morning outside with grandma, pap, and King Twinkie. I don't know why he was over here, perhaps because the rest of his bakery sleeps until noon, but he was. And he was tolerable, believe it or not. Mak really likes him. Actually Mak really likes all the Twinkies, and I'm thinking it's because she can relate to them, eh.
Da Man and Grace headed to Lowes for the Build To Grow gig. Grace came home proudly toting a red wooden GMC truck, complete with opening tailgate. Yay for her. She really digs going to Lowes and building stuff.
They met us in the backyard with Timmy Horton's in hand and chocolate long john donuts. Yum. It was bearable at that time of the day because the back yard was full of shade. Now it's getting incredibly humid. I reckon it will be full out gross before too long.
Da Man has to work tonight. I wish he could pull straight dayturn shifts because the evenings are so long and tiring with the girls. Bad, huh. He asked me the other night if I had him here just to help with the girls. Hmm...that was a tough one, so I honestly answered maybe. Ha.
Well, the family is starting to gather around me and, frankly, my blog is not their business. Have a good weekend.
