We finally started loading stuff into the pickup truck, the biggest items first so we can see what smaller things will fit around them.

The coffee table came from one of the casinos for Christmas. It is the kind where the top lifts up flat to eating table height.
The colorful cuboid thing is plastic drawers holding quilting and sewing supplies, mostly quilts in progress. I realized that I don't need all this here.
Some of the packing involved visiting the storage unit where Mr. Troutbend has most of his 7000 paperback science fiction books and huge Beanie baby collection stored. We didn't go there for a couple of years, and when we finally did at Christmas, couldn't remember how to work the lock on our unit. Got in at last, and some of the boxes had come unglued in the heat of summer, and the stacks were leaning. Today we brought home most of the worst boxes and reglued them, then reorganized some of the stacks to make sure the heaviest boxes were on top of the lighter ones.
Everything gets dusty in there, so the windy day was perfect for blowing it away as we applied the whisk broom to each box.
Tomorrow I'll finish up with the loading, and what doesn't fit I will leave in a pile so when Mr. T comes later in the car he can see what he can fit in.
I'm really not prepared mentally to go right away. I think maybe by the weekend when the weather is supposed to be nice in Colorado. Tonight it is snowing 5 to 9 inches at our house there, according to the weather service.
