The Tree Personality Thing - Amazing

From Sunlight's "What Tree Did You Fall From?" post.

Cypress Tree (Faithfulness) -- strong, muscular, adaptable, takes what life has to give, content, optimistic, craves money and acknowledgment, hates loneliness, passionate lover which cannot be satisfied, faithful, quick-tempered, unruly, pedantic, and careless.

This describes me perfectly. I don't know much about cypress trees since I've never lived where they grow, so have to take someone's word that they symbolize faithfulness, and that is the one word that describes me.

Mr. Troutbend's tree according to his birthdate would be: Walnut Tree (Passion) -- unrelenting, strange and full of contrasts, often egotistic, aggressive, noble, broad horizon, unexpected reactions, spontaneous, unlimited ambition, no flexibility, difficult and uncommon partner, not always liked but often admired, ingenious strategist, very jealous and passionate, no compromise.

This does not describe him at all. Strangely, because one was born in April and the other in October, the description is close to my dad’s personality, and totally different from Mr. Tbend's personality, which is closer to an olive tree. It makes me think of that conventional wisdom that we marry someone just like our father, so in a sense I did, except Mr. Tbend overcame this horoscope to become a wiser person.

Olive Tree (Wisdom) -- loves sun, warmth and kind feelings, reasonable, balanced, avoids aggression and violence, tolerant, cheerful, calm, well-developed sense of justice, sensitive, empathetic, free of jealousy, loves to read and the company of sophisticated people.

Note: some of the dates are missing from Sunlight's post, so here is a site with a full list (but still no Feb 29 - I guess people born that day evolved some other way):

Dear Laura, re. your handwriting, sounds like tension. I had to write a formal congratulatory note on fine stationery recently and the only way to make it look decent was to pause and relax my hand before each word.

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. A friend nearby who is seriously studying handwriting analysis just did me and Ed. She was 80% right. She said I was "spiritual". I now look at Ed, make eye contact, and intone, "I'm spiritual," and then I grin inanely. He groans.

So many walnuts seem to have overcome. I looked at the traits and I think the traits go with being relentlessly able to change... aggressively and unexpectedly able to change! I noticed the omissions when I looked at the list today. I had to go back the email to see what I had done wrong and to fix it. I should have just come here.
