Treasure Island and Hooters Hotel in Las Vegas

Hooters Hotel, Las Vegas (off the Strip)

The Hooters property is an older hotel east of the Strip that they bought a couple of years ago. It doesn't appear that they spent much to spruce up the place when they changed the name, but it looks like the perfect setting for women dressed in the Hooters waitress uniforms. (Careful choice of words.) They (the Hooters Casino Hotel)are not doing well, probably won't be Hooters much longer.

Mr.Troutbend had free room offers from these places so he stayed at them last week, the first time at either place.

He also sent me this picture of 4 Aces and Joker on a Joker's Wild $5 slot with a $25.00 per hand bet without any explanation.

As pretty as it looks, the payout on this hand was probably only 9 to 1 for the Five of a Kind($225 for a $25 bet) - no bonus for the aces, they might as well have been 3s or 10s. The player cashed out at $985 so had some credits built up before hitting this hand.

I don't know if that was Mr. Tbend's winning hand or he saw it as he walked by the machine and snapped the picture. Most likely it was his because he would be afraid of getting in trouble for taking pictures while walking through the casino even though cell phone users do it all the time.

One more question I have for him: According to what I see, none of these cards were dealt - if they had been, the screen would show "Hold" by the ones the player chose to keep from the deal. This means that all five dealt cards were discarded, and the new replacement cards were four aces and a Joker.

If that was the case no wonder he took a picture of it, and he might take it even if it wasn't his hand, because it would be something like the 8th or 9th or 10th wonder of the world, similar to having vacation photos of Big Foot posing with your kids in front of a waterfall with the Loch Ness monster waving from the water.

Regardless of all the details, it's fun to look at those aces and the wild card hanging out like friends; they should get together more often.

Too much math for me. It's no wonder I don't gamble. Impressed with your acumen. Also acuwomen. xx, T.
