I have been enjoying my vacation here in Las Vegas, staying in bed late in the mornings finishing books and catching up with Netflix offerings. I've kept in touch with what is going on in Colorado, called in to meetings, but it's nowhere near the punishing schedule I pursue when I'm there.

Hard to believe, but a week from tomorrow looks like the best driving weather. Time for lists and start packing stuff in tubs. All the planning going into changing location and making the resolution to leave dwarfs preparations for our Christmas Day celebration, which isn't going to be much of a deal.

I'll have to go through the food on hand and see what Mr. Troutbend will actually use after I'm gone and what to use up before I leave.

As recently as a couple of days ago I was thinking I wouldn't go back for a bunch more weeks, but in the last few hours for some reason It's easier and easier to plan to hit the road. Perhaps it's that ripping off the bandaid theory - get it over with.
