Cute and quaint are the daily norm, whereas I feel like in America it's all about convenient and expedient. The streets are so narrow, drivers are frequently forced to give way to oncoming cars, and I think that forces them to think of others more so than we do. I'm sure there are jerks who hog the right-of-way, but overall, it feels more civilized and polite than I'm used to.
Half of a Smart Car:
We went to Driffield for coffee at the Bell Pub.
They have many familiar car makes over here - Toyota, Ford, Nissan, but the car models are totally different. This is a Toyota Aygo, Black edition. Yes, it has the word 'black' on the back in chrome. "So I know what color it 'tis" says owner Mabel. It's the only one I've seen with that extra information. We do have those appearance packages in the states - there is a Black Edition Silverado pickup with no visible chrome - all the grill and bumpers are black, but they don't label the truck as such, you know it when you see it.
