Say Hello to the Fish

One of the fishing guides who frequently brings clients here posts pictures of their expedition on his website. Wallace was here Wednesday with three guys, all out for the first time.

I always enjoy seeing my fish, also my property in the background, and evidence that the fishermen had a good time.

I thought this one was sweet:

I remember the Kaiser song melodically, but can't remember the theme.

Three little fishies in an itty bitty pool and their mother, and she says swim and swim as fast as you can, but they didn't want to be bossed, and then along came a shark.

I have this little playlet running in my head when I see a fisherman on the park pier throw a fish back. The fish swims back to his mother, hysterical and frightened, and stammers out, "I got a hook and i wuz gaspin' and geez, mom,it was terribul...."

Do you remember that Three Little Fishies (and a Momma Fishy Too) song by Kay Kyser?

Yes, it is! I'm so glad.

Those guys look as though they are having a good time. When will you be making your summer trek back to Colorado?

I think they were three generations of the same family. I'm here in Colorado now, since the second, praying for rain.

Somehow I used to manage to clean bullheads the morning after fishing and drinking. But I lost interest in fishing after I got sober. Maybe because it was more about drinking than fishing!

Fishing is fun if there is some catching going on.

Fishing was never a sport of mine--among others!

We don't fish. The gear is hundreds of dollars for one thing, and for another I wouldn't have the patience to fiddle with those little tiny flies.

Do they trow them back or do they keep them to eat?

It's all catch and release, not just on my property, but several miles of the river. I really think of these as 'my fish.'
