Yesterday the county road department finally installed the road sign on our driveway, Brown Trout Lane.



We are right around the corner from Rainbow Trout Lane, and I like that because we can tell people to start looking for our road when they pass the Rainbow Trout sign.

I'm hoping this will make us easier to find, but since our turnoff is around a bend and the highway is climbing upwards where you turn, people won't see it from far off and will miss it anyway. At least now it has a name.

Before, they had to look for the numbers nailed to the telephone pole.

It is cold and rainy today, and the river is high. Our little side streams Rabbit Creek and one unnamed have water in them for the first time this year.
